Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Air service in and out of Charlotte Douglas (CLT) International Airport is exceptional. CLT is located approximately 6 miles west of Uptown Charlotte. CLT airport is the:

CLT averages 640 flights daily on 11 major airlines and 14 regional carriers. These flights provide non-stop service to 167 cities. There are five concourses with 85 airline gates, with plans to add 24 more gates to Concourse E. This includes 46 domestic, 13 international and 26 regional gates.
Charlotte Light Rail Commuter Train – Lynx
The Charlotte Light Rail Commuter Train Network is called the Lynx. The Lynx currently runs from the South Charlotte area to Uptown Charlotte on the Lynx Blue Line. Future plans include extending the Blue Line northeast from Uptown Charlotte to the University area and adding a Lynx Purple Line from Uptown Charlotte to the Mooresville area.
